This abstract provides a concise overview of key concepts, recent advancements, and future directions in transplantation immunology. The immune system plays a pivotal role in distinguishing self from non-self, posing a formidable challenge to the acceptance of transplanted tissues. Understanding the intricate interplay between the innate and adaptive immune responses is crucial for developing targeted immunomodulatory interventions. Recent breakthroughs in our comprehension of graft rejection mechanisms have led to the identification of novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets, offering promising avenues for personalized transplant strategies.
